Ahhh! I’m so excited!
Book four in the Beast Hunters series is finally here!
(Even though it’s book four, it can totally be read as a standalone. In fact, I’d love to hear what you think if you haven’t read the other books in this series!)

Slay the Wolf was probably the most difficult book in this series to write, after the first book, Kill the Beast.
Slay the Wolf is a light “Red Riding Hood” retelling, with sisters Snow White and Rose Red showing up as supporting characters (from “Snow White and Rose Red,” not “Snow White and the Seven Dwarves,” though there are nods to that as well).
And of course I had to make Rose Red a dreaded pirate captain.

And Kill the Beast is a “Beauty and the Beast” (by Madame Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve) retelling.
Both are my favorite fairy tales, and interestingly enough, these two books were the hardest to write.
I wonder if there is any correlation to the pressure of getting these books right because of how much I love those original fairy tales?

Anyway, I hope you love the latest addition to the Beast Hunters series.
Only three books left!
I’m so excited about the next one: Stop the Snow Queen has time jumps, the origin story of a mysterious character, and the most powerful fairy-tale creature Ro has fought yet.

Until then, enjoy Slay the Wolf and the absolutely gorgeous ART Laura Hollingsworth and Jenelle Hovde created for this book. I am in awe of their skill!
I hope you enjoy my take in my own fairy tales with huntress Ro LeFèvre at the helm!
Happy reading!
~Michele
