Beast Hunter and Other Fairy Tales Release Day!

YOU GUYS.

I have another book releasing today!

Cue all the screaming and happy dancing in the world!

I took a year off from everything but writing my own books, and not only did I write and finish The Lost Slipper, I added six brand-new stories to Beast Hunter for the special edition hardcover.

Now I’m almost done with Quell the Nightingale, book three in the Beast Hunters series, and am about halfway done with Slay the Wolf, book four.

Man, I’m such a slow writer, you guys.

I mean, I can pound out the words, get them out on the page quickly, but then I take FOR-EV-ER going over each sentence, making sure it fits, that it’s worded just right, that it has a place in the overarching storyworld or should be deleted post-haste.

Stories take their sweet time percolating in my mind (as well as in the editing stage), and it’s so hard not to be frustrated at that.

I mean, I know exactly what has to happen in each book for the final book in the series to take place, which is great, but getting it all out seems to be more like pulling taffy than gushing forth like a firehose.

I wish I were a fast drafter! Get the story out, get it out for peer reviewer, off to my editor, then into your lovely grabby hands!

I can’t tell you how much I wish that was my process.

But it looks like this is how I write, and since I’m stuck with me, I will keep plodding along, getting these stories to you as quickly as is possible for me.

Not sure exactly where that all came from, especially while celebrating a new book, but I am excited, truly! Hopefully Quell the Nightingale will be the next thing we’re celebrating? Soon?

Now back to happy squealing about Beast Hunter and Other Fairy Tales!

So you want to know more about this book? Here you go!

Two children lost in the woods.

Red shoes that won’t stop dancing.

An innkeeper harried by the ghosts of her past.

Fey-made clothing that only the worthy may see.

A man with a beard as blue as his temper is hot.

The legend of the great white wolf.

And the hunt of a lifetime.

Beast Hunter and Other Fairy Tales turns beloved stories inside out, shatters expectations, and offers new adventures, delightful twists, and unexpected endings that will keep you coming back for more.

Happy squeals, am I right?

I had SO MUCH FUN pounding out each of these stories, set during when Ro worked for Gautier, before she hunts the beast in Kill the Beast.

Can you guess which fairy tale I retold in each story?

You are invited to a Release Party!

This will be in the same place as my other release parties, or in other words, >>> at this link right here. <<<

It’s entirely online, so you can join in your jammies and eat snacks without anyone being the wiser! (That’s exactly what I plan on doing, too.)

Let’s see . . . am I forgetting anything?

Ah, yes! How do you get this book?

The buy links are right down at the bottom of this post, and you can definitely add this book to Goodreads, Bookbub, and Amazon Author. (And if you follow me on Amazon Author, they will totally let you know when another book of mine releases!)

I think that’s absolutely everything, so thank you for reading my books (and this really long blog post), and see you in two nights for our PAR-TAY! :D

In Him,

Michele

“Beast Hunter sweeps you up in a rousing tale that twists the fairy tale world on its head. Quick to read, but sticks with you and makes you eager for more.”
– H.L. Burke, award-winning and bestselling author of over twenty eclectic fantasy novels
“Beast Hunter is an absolute must-read for those who love twisted fairy tales with strong female leads. Family drama, mystery, shadowy characters, and a heroine you can’t help but root for, what’s not to love? I was hooked immediately and now can’t wait for the rest of Ro’s story to unfold.”
– Dawn Ford, award-winning fantasy author
“Clever and fresh, with a compelling, relatable heroine, Beast Hunter is a fitting prequel to the Beauty and the Beast story, Kill the Beast. A potent little novella that will leave you eager for more!”
– Janeen Ippolito, author of the Star-Crossed Fairy Tales
“Beast Hunter captivated me! From the first page, I was sucked in, unaware of all sense of time, and had to know what was going to happen next (even if it took reading into the wee hours of the morning to find out). Ro is such an admirable character, and seeing her courage through all the plot twists Michele wove into this engaging story, it left me desperate to get my hands on its sequel, Kill the Beast, as soon as possible to continue Ro’s adventures!”
– Laura A. Grace, author of Dear Author and Team Lines and Gathering Faith

  • I have enjoyed several of your books. You made it onto my list of favorite authors. I recommend those authors to my friends and family. Thank you for sharing your gift with us.

  • Congratulations on your new release, Michele. You’ve made it further than us dreamers, so keep plodding. While I always anticipate the next book in a series, I am glad writers take the time to release an excellent story. After all, patience is a virtue. Best wishes on your next release.

    • I seriously can’t tell you how encouraging this is! Writing is so solitary, and since it takes me so long, I tend to get in my head. Thank you for encouraging me to put out a quality product, even if that takes longer. Means the world!

  • Congratulations on your newest release!! 🎉 I love that cover 😍 and even though it’s easy to compare, you do you. 😉 Readers prefer quality over quantity, and your fans will always be waiting (and excited) for your next release. 💖
